Two cymbalists, Dennis and Derek compete with one another. Each of them wears a black formal wear every day, even during rehearsals, to look ready if called for any possible performance. They say they feel like a surgeon working in the emergency room. Derek said once to Dustin, “One never knows when a substitute player might take a somebody's place.” Somehow, they always play together.
