Horn

A lady came to me one day very forlorn
And asked me if I was ready to play my horn.
Of course I didn't let a moment lapse
Before I told her I would be honored to play "taps'
At a funeral where I would mourn

Horn

Arlene had the misfortune of breaking her horn. This happened right before her retirement, and she did not want to buy a new instrument. She just ineffectively tried to rent one from Graham, an instrument salesman. Anxious and worried, Arlene was haunted by recurring nightmares. She envisioned herself as a ghostly skeleton playing the Chinese horn. Even worse, she performed together with a skeleton that resembled her late husband Lonnie who played scary music on a fiddle. After several sleepless nights, Arlene decided to seek some help from psychotherapist Dave. Fortunately, Richard and Wayt who used to play horns on the opera stage, let Arlene play one of their used horns (whenever horn playing was not a part of the opera score), so Arlene could sleep well again.
