Jane was little and her parents wanted to grab her interest in music early. They wanted her to live by music. They were inspired by a story about Frank Gehry, who had spent a lot of time with his grandmother. She used to go to the shop of a furniture maker on a corner of the street they lived and ask for wooden scraps and leftovers. There were all sorts of wood, all odd-shaped. They had various colors, smells, textures, and grains. Frank and his grandmother used to build cities on the kitchen floor using these odd scraps.
