Recorder

Allen learned to play the recorder in kindergarten. His lifelong dream was to go to the moon to teach “Moonians” to play the recorder. He believed all the instruments you have to blow into would be moon related. The teacher asked him about other planets, but he was too busy mastering his plan.

"Art and Music Manifesto"

One cannot have art without music, just as one cannot have music without art. The two survive along side each other. If one were to die, so would the other. Art embodies music in its rhythms and patterns, just as music embodies art in its style and composition. For many artists, music is the inspiration for their work. The sounds and rhythms are painted in a visual format, just as a painting may inspire a song. Both art and music are all around us and they interact with one another constantly.
