Hernando has not been after the investment; at least, it was not his main goal. He wanted to become a part of the process. Any process, he thought, but he always wanted to support something meaningful. He started with an art collection, but it was too static for him, as he did not have any favorite specific style he’d like to concentrate on. The consultants were working hard to design a collection for him. After enjoying the art all around him, he donated his collection to the local museum of art. He had a room named after him, but not the art collection. Sponsoring the Orchestra was a logical choice to follow. It was all very well organized, and was working as a well- oiled machine. However, he was too proud to influence their program or scope.
